This pair of twirl tumblers was fired in a wood fire in May 2021. Unfortunately, the pieces came out slightly underfired. They were then refired with a clear liner glaze in a cone 6 oxidation firing.
 
The variegated surface was created with soft ash deposits and the touch of the flame during its initial firing.  Made of high-fired bmix clay, these pieces are durable and lasting.
